Quick update: Morion MV197 & HP 5328A

I’m still very busy but I think it is time for an update anyway. So let’s write something about OCXO and counters.

As this is a quick update on something that I still have to work on, I won’t bother writing the specifications. I will write them when/if I have the time to finish this little pet project.

The OCXO is a Morion MV197.

The counters are two HP 5328A, one of them working while the other needs some repair.

Sadly neither of them comes with the Option 010, High Stability Time Base. A shame, really.

But giving them an OCXO is not really hard nor it is a novel idea (see this ).

The MV197 I got it for cheap and it works and that’s the reason I am going to use it.

I am rather sure that I will have soon two working HP5328A so this projects looks like a reasonable way to spend some evenings/nights.

No images at the moment – because busy.
